Downtown Bloomsburg has a number of annual events and traditions - two arts festivals - Renaissance Jamboree and ArtFest, a Christmas holiday tree lighting, TreeFest's 100 of decorated trees, First Friday celebrations, gallery openings, a Chili Cook off & more.

Each month, we will go inside a downtown business highlighting what makes them an important part of the downtown.

TreeFest

TreeFest is a Bloomsburg-area holiday event during which the public is invited to view dozens of Christmas trees decorated by local organizations sponsored by local businesses and individuals. The trees, sourced from local growers, are decked out in accord with unique themes that reflect inspiring, and often amusing, takes on Christmas and winter-holiday traditions. At the end of the festival, all trees are donated to local families in need. Over the last 36 years, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s annual TreeFest fundraiser has become a popular part of the region’s Christmas celebrations.

This year’s TreeFest will be especially magical, thanks to new and returning special events! In addition to Cookies with Santa and the Sensory-Friendly Day, TreeFest taps into the Victorian tradition of ghost stories with its inaugural Evening of Yuletide and Winter Ghost Stories.  Go to , https://www.bte.org/treefes for more info on TreeFest
